Now a days older people are forming a large proportion of the total population due to the fact that life exceptions is longer. Never before have physical and mental capabilities remained into advanced old age. The speed of these changes has been remarkable due to the fact of technology. Design of transport, housing and public buildings need a better understanding of human need and need to improve the quality of life of older users. Their physical and mental lifestyles capabilities.

For children to have living grandparents and great grandparents is not strange in todays society. The average death age is around 80. Age-related changes in physical, sensory and mental capabilities are the main things designers think about when designing for the elderly.
